Key skills for journalists

In this video, published as part of the NCTJ journalism summer school, Mark Hanna teaches the essentials of media law. 

Mark Hanna is chair of the NCTJ's media law examinations board and co-author of McNae's Essential Law for Journalists.

Media law is taught on all NCTJ-accredited courses, and can also be studied via distance learning. The Journalism Skills Academy also runs media law training for those who need a refresher, or need to learn the basics.
